Association of Business Mentors Skills Sharing – Measuring Mentoring Impact 24th November 2025

I spoke to an audience of 60 mentors on Measuring mentoring Impact. This skill is part of the ABM Core Competency Framework “2.5 Concluding and Evaluating a Relationship ​” and includes

  • 2.5.1 Mapping progress to goals and objectives. ​
  • 2.5.2 Knowing when a relationship is of no further value to the mentee.
  • 2.5.3 Understanding what to cover in a concluding session and determining next steps.​

I spoke for 50 minutes and covered

  • What is “measuring mentoring impact”
  • How can we go about measuring mentoring impact
  • Goal setting at the contracting stage
  • Measuring tangible vs intangible outcomes
  • How can we know if we are we still adding value
  • Concluding the relationship

National Mentoring Matters Conference 30th October 2025

I spoke at a conference breakout on Mentoring for Growth. The conference had 350 delegates and I had a breakout room with 70 people. I shared with the audience a model and framework for mentoring for growth.
